.Hylium Industries, Inc. was established in 2014 as a Korea Institute of Science and Technology’s (KIST) venture company. We have been developing the nation’s first cryogenic liquid hydrogen manufacturing and storage technologies with R&D support from the Korean Government. In cooperation with Hyundai Motor Company and the Gwangju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Hylium Industries developed a Mobile Hydrogen Refueling Station for Hydrogen FCEVs. This station was successfully demonstrated during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games. Hylium Industries, Inc. developed a liquid hydrogen-based fuel cell power pack for unmanned aerial vehicles with an extended flight time that is X10 superior to that of the most advanced lithium battery. Thanks to this technology we have been receiving great interest and cooperation requests from drone and air taxi companies around the world. In 2018 our ultra-light liquid hydrogen storage tank and charger solutions were applied for hydrogen powering by an American air taxi corporation Alakai Technologies. Hylium has developed various technologies related to the hydrogen liquefaction system and owns over 20 patents and intellectual property rights, more patents pending. In 2015 Hylium Industries, Inc. technologies were acknowledged by the American Cryonics Society with a Russel B. Scott Memorial Award for the Best Applications in Small-Capacity Hydrogen Liquefaction Technology. Hydrogen technology is standing at the forefront of global R&D initiatives as the green energy technology of the future. Hylium Industries’ liquid hydrogen technologies are representative of the global move towards hydrogen energy. Our Mobile Hydrogen Refueling Station for Hydrogen FCEVs and Hydrogen Fuel Cell for UAV and aerospace have the potential to become the core hydrogen technologies of the future. With its creative LH2 technologies Hylium Industries, Inc. is set to become a leading player in the global hydrogen technology industry.
